Two Planets Reality

Street rules

Street apps are small things you make for a pair of glasses by talking. Some of what they do reaches strangers: a line left at a corner, a line on a walkie-talkie, an item on a shared board, the line you pass to someone you cross. These are the rules for that shared street, and what the studio does to keep it.

Zero tolerance

Nothing that names, describes or points at a particular person. Nothing that carries a way to reach someone: no address, no number, no link, no handle. No slurs, no threats, no sexual content, no solicitation, no spam, and nothing aimed at another wearer's glasses or at the model behind them. A line that breaks these is refused before it is kept, and an account that keeps trying is removed. There is no appeal from a threat.

What is read, and by whom

Every line for a stranger is read before it is kept: first by a list of what a line may never carry, then by a classifier, then, where that is unsure, by a model. Every decision is logged by the text's hash, never its text. A line is never read by a person unless someone reports it.

Reporting

Anything another wearer left can be reported from the app (a mark, a line, an app another maker shared). A reported mark leaves your street at once. When reports from enough accounts in good standing land on one thing, it leaves everyone's street; when enough land on one maker's things in a day, every mark of theirs is taken down and they cannot leave more for a day. Reports are read by the studio within one day.

Blocking

Block the maker behind any mark or line and the two of you no longer see each other on the street: marks, lines, presence, either way. You are never told who they were, and they are not told you blocked them.

Asking again

If a line of yours was refused, or your marks were taken down, you can ask the studio to look again from the app. The studio answers within a day and can put a mark back, lift a takedown, or say no.

Your account and your journal

Your journal (what your phone logged, what your apps kept) is yours alone and is kept for ninety days unless you set a shorter or longer time in Settings. From Settings you can export everything the service holds about you as one file, and delete your account, which removes your apps, your journal and its pictures, your marks and your lines at once.
